I am an amatuer and have a D90 w/18-105 that I am giving to my son and want to upgrade slightly to a D7000 and better lens - with the idea of being able to print larger landscapes. I am wondering if I shouldn't invest a little more money in a good FX lens that would then be fully transferable to a full format [D600?] - in case I later want to upgrade again.....thinking of starting with the 28-300 and eventually add the 16-35 Nikkors. Does this make sense? Will I be able to get as much or more out of the Fx lens as I would a DX lens on the 7000? Is the lens likely to be the limitation on how much can I enlarge and print very high quality?...or will it be the smaller sensor and 12 MP of the 7000? Any ideas and help is much appreciated!
