Hi Everyone,

I have an ancient Canon 510, with a whopping 3.2 megapixels.  Tiny screen, etc..

I recently picked up the Canon 110hs, to replace it, and to give me something to use while I look for a good camera with manual controls.

Now the question part: why is it, given the number of years that technology has advanced, that the pics between the two are not very different?  My 510 had problems with purple fringing, same issue exists with the 110hs, the clarity isn't much better, if at all...I was kinda hoping advances in lenses, sensors and such would result is a reasonable improvement, but not so much.

It cannot all be because of the pixel crowding on the 110hs, can it?

Any and all thoughts welcome, try to keep the sarcasm at the door.

Thanks,

Scrivener
