Right, they are far from perfect. I started a thread about E-M5 firmware bugs, they are plenty and this far they have fixed about one of them....
Why can't they implement an software emulated state of the art omnidirectional focussing mechanism.
They didn't think about it, they don't know how to do it, they are pure mean, they... who knows.
Im so upset, their advertisement is so untrue and they know what they do, they are specialists. They made the focus algorithm as primitive as possible in order to make it fast in order to get the best benchmark on focus speed. This is not what I want, I want an omnidirectional focus recognition and this is not state of the art, this is like an SLR from the previous century and worse, because they choosed the wrong orientation.
To get the fastest possible! There you probably are on to something. It was the same thing when Olympus release the E-5 (4/3 format). It was also the world's fastest auto-focusing camera. Lol. I have a feeling Olympus is about to lose user.

Yes, and then you'll have to workaround the problem with inexact focusing fixing with the microfocus adjustment in the menus forever. With your E-M5 you'll have to workaround the problem by tilting your camera in some situations.
Anyway, don't make an important decision in anger, sleep on it and then decide what to do. I wish you luck with that.
