D800E Stress Test (Non-laboratory)

And they say we should use extremely careful 'technique' when shooting with the D800E.... I must've missed that meeting. Usually, landscapes at golf courses in Hawaii is a 'walk in the park'... but not the other day.... that 24-70 2.8 was a little too much for the D800E's magnesium chassis, especially after I slipped off the back of a maintenance cart and crushed it with my Hawaiian panda belly. (I morn the loss, truly.) As I await a replacement, I wonder whether or not the lack of a magnesium face plate on my Costco-purchased last-minute back-up, the D600, will endure my 'technique'? It will certainly be 'tried and tested' when I'm through with it!
