betweeen a 85mm or the 50mm

It's a question only you can answer depending on your style of photography.

I have a 50mm f1.4 for a few years now and literally only used it on two outings. For me, the angle of view it provides on FF is so so. I think a 35mm is far more useful. Between the 85 vs 50, I would go with the 85.
