This is at some point where photography morphs from 'snapshots' for family, to being something beyond.

High end optics, the ability to shoot with different lenses for different light, the advantages of really fine optics, ground glass, better sensors, more intelligent cameras.

Basically the difference between a bicycle and an F1 race car.

If you feel this way, buy 10 or so Point and shoot cameras and have fun.

No need to hang out here.  Bye!

In the past there were big camera systems AND Kodak brownies.  Kodak missed the digital boat in all respects, thought film would stay, and is now history, a long with the whole city they made famous.

It is sure that some cameras blur the line, but the two technologies are miles apart.

Both can be fun.  My uncle collected Amphicars in the 60's.  He had 12 at one time, along with 4 Thunderbirds.  I polished them.

We had a 57 Plymouth with fins, polish could not bring back the finish.  The joy of riding in a Thunderbird made my heart swell, but I could take a date to the drive in and get to the same place in the back seat as I could have with the Thunderbird, except you got prettier girls with that fancy car!
