I did the same thing. I had the 7D, 70-200 f2.8L IS, 17-55, 100-400, 100 f2.8 Macro, 50mm f1.4 & 18-200, 2 flashes, remotes and more. Sold it all and went for the D800. My reason was that I too wanted FF but since being a zoom guy, I didn't want to lose the crop factor. The D800 gave me the best of both worlds. a 1.5x DX mode and a 36.3MP FF. I thought I'd have been shooting a lot more in DX mode but I generally don't The FF is so good that if I really need to I just crop (which is the same anyway). This camera is wonderful to crop especially if you are careful with shooting so you have an extremely sharp photo. The D600 was not available when I purchased but would go the same way now. Love the 36MP and it is just an awesome camera in every way.
