Having been a reviewer at two very well known stock sites and a contributor on man others, I know that most stock sites do not accept images of luxury cars or any easily recognisable product (for example apple products are off limits), unless it is for editorial use only. Generally some sites also insist that editorial images need to be newsworthy. When I was reviewing images for stock, we wer specifically told to reject images of luxury and sports cars, as well as Apple and various other branded objects immediately.
It doesn't matter if the image was taken in a public place or not, and removing the logos from well known recognisable products is not enough to get them accepted. Nor is getting a release from the owner.
