I have been experimenting with my G3 and 100-300 @ 300mm and 1/640 in SH burst mode (which uses electronic shutter but forces resolution down to 3mp) and comparing with a full size raw image.

To compare the two I set the raw image to 100% and the SH jpeg to 200% and I am staggered to find more detail in the 200% jpeg than the raw! If SH mode allowed use of ETC I think I would use it rather than shoot raw!

Whilst these revelations about electronic shutter are very interesting, I think it is actually an indictment of panny's mechanical shutter. What's the point of paying for high quality lenses if the blur introduced by the camera obscures the very sharpness you paid for?
