X-E1: Viewfinder is horrible and kit zoom is heavy, but then ...

In an era of substantial and very useable built-in grips, why did Fuji go for such a tiny grip and then sell us a bolt on accessory with no further function??  Nostalgia perhaps - form over function?  Surely, it would have made their life (as much as their customers' lives) much easier because it would have allowed increased internal space for battery, card and electronics.

Perhaps that's one they'll get right next time.
