Sony 10-18mm f/4 and 16-50mm Samples from NEX 7

I was thinking of getting the 16-50mm kit lens but that lens is not so good from everything we have seen so far.  Just small.  So, I was hope this 10-18mm would be better but it is not that much better.  I think Sony should forget about making lenses small.  I would rather have a bigger and heavier lens than having the fine sensor quality compromised by ordinary lenses.
