The 35. Even if the zoom covers it, the 35 is an entirely different animal...and a lot smaller, too.

Am planning to get the ultrawide zoom, the 56/1.4 too.  And *if* there'll be a 28/2 equivalent...(i.e. 18/1.4) I'd fetch it right away, of course given that there's already a 18/2, it'll be unlikely...

Given the recent reviews/tests of the 18-55 appearing recently on this forum, I am wondering which lens makes the most sense as a next lens in addition to the zoom.

Although the 35 get phenomenal raves, it appears as though the 18-55 is quite sharp wide open at 35, just a stop or two slower, so one loses some subject isolation, but still has good capabilities.

The 18's seem matches except for a stop.

It would seem the 60 makes the most sense. The 18-55 is appearing soft wide open per recent comments/test and as such for portraits with good subject isolation, the 60 makes a lot of sense. Also, the 60 gives me macro capability which the 18-55 does not have.

Thoughts?
