Is this Promaster Auto MC 28mm compatible with my d7000?

This lens was used by my father in his nikon film camera with his 50mm 1.4 AI. Are both of them compatible with my d7000? They actually fit but i'm afraid they may screw up my camera if they're not compatible. I'm just making sure.
