This has been discussed in the m43 forums but I'm not sure whether the shutter mechanism's any different in Sony SLTs and in turn cause any shutter shock?

My SLT-A77 (and I assume the others in the SLT-Ax7 series + A65, A99) use an electronic first curtain shutter . In combination with the SLT mirror there are no mechanical parts slamming around inside the camera to induce vibration before the image is taken.
