gitzo ball head dismantling - anybody?

i am trying to dismantle a 1377M gitzo ball head. After removing the screws that are fixing the panoramic system (D1377.103 part number) i got stuck. the part is only moving 3-4 mm, then it is quite impossible to get it out completely in order to remove the other parts.
If anybody has an experience with that kind of disassemble, help will be appreciated.
