Mitch McConnell said during today's news conference something we've all heard before - We didn't get into this position because of a lack of revenue, but because of excessive spending.

Who will dispute that? Please - liberal or conservative, Dem or Repub - please tell us that is not correct. Please convince us that our problem is that the government does not have enough income.

Romney says he'd still reject 10-to-1 budget cuts to revenue deal ...
You guys are so blinded in your tunnel views and fox news that you just cannot see anything beyond spending cuts, you are not able to see that Obama is not opposed to spending cuts, its repubs who are adamant to no tax raise.....

When Obama advocates a "balanced" package of spending cuts and revenue-raisers over 10 years, his definition of balance is spending cuts in about a 3:1 ratio to revenue increases. Members of his party are uncomfortable with that proportion, still he stands with his offer and you silly repubs are not taking it...

And that's why you repubs deserve the blame for fiscal cliff....Don't change ur stand a bit and for sure you repubs will be out of house in 2014

And after bush tax cuts expire Obama will propose another cut only for under $250k and repubs will not have balls to reject that...

Defending Obama is not a response to "convince us that our problem is that the government does not have enough income."

Obama uses terms like "a balanced approach" and it has a nice, fair, even and equitable sound to it. Makes you want to agree with him. But facts are facts - we don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. The more money you send to Washington, the more they spend. If we haven't learned that we haven't learned a thing.

Think of the government as having 16 credit cards and each one of them is maxed out at a trillion dollars - and the bills are due. What's your solution? Apply for a few more credit cards? Then a few more next year? When do we face this? When do we make the hard choices needed to stop it?

Your problem is you like to complain complain and complain......and again complain....you have no idea how to solve issues thus you keep complaining.....You do not even know the meaning of compromise...

That's why I said in my first post... stand your belief and jump of fiscal cliff.....lot of spending cuts will happen automatically....Happy....Yes you already choose your option and frankly u perfectly do deserve that....
