St.Augustine, Florida Bridge
This was taken on a recent drive to St.Augustine.. It was not planned, but I took this using the NEX-7 with the kit 18-55 kit lens shooting at f/8... I plan on re-shooting this as I know I can smooth out the water glassing it up more and toning down the blown out bridge lights as well reducing some of the STAR pattern effect. I was a bit surprised as with my Sigma 19mm, I don't normally see the STAR effect until f/11... But with the kit lens, f/8 really shows the STAR effect.
I need the zoom capability as the 19mm would have been too wide... I may actually try my Sony 50mm OSS next time for the range is close to what I need. But for the kit lens, I guess I need to stay slightly under f/8 to reduce the STAR effect on the lights... At the same time trying to keep a sharp picture with low ISO.... Comments and suggestions always welcome. Vaughn
