In search of first DSLR camera. Need help deciding between Nikon D5100 and Nikon D3200!

I've always had the "point and shoot" cameras and I am looking to upgrade.  My husband and I have a very active lifestyle which includes lot of action shots.  We are also expecting our first baby and want to capture those precious moments in the best way possible.  I am pretty techno-savvy and catch on to things easy so I think I could operate either camera with a little practice.  Please help because the cameras are only $20 difference right now so price can't be the deciding factor!  Thanks!
