I have been thinking about getting either the Pana Leica 45mm or new olympus 60mm macro.

If there are two lenses that are similar in quality, you should choose the one that is manufactured by the same manufacturer of your camera. This is because usually the lens and the camera body from the same manufacturer work better together (the lens can take advantages of the features and functions that come with the body).

If you're getting an Olympus, get the new macro 60.

You know M43 is a SYSTEM, right?  Short of OIS vs IBIS, there is NO reason to restrict yourself to the same lens manufacturer as your camera!

If that were the case, nobody who owns a Panasonic should use the truly exceptional 45mm f1.8 lens, nor should any Oly camera owners use the tiny and excellent 14mm, or 20mm.  Nor should any Oly users use the now legendary 25mm Panasonic......

I guess I will have to tell my Oly 12mm and 45mm that I must have been mistaken about how good they are on my GH2....or how one of the best photos I have ever taken should not even exist, since I took it with the Oly 40-150mm on the GH2....And my next lens purchase will most likely be the Oly  60mm macro, since it does what I want and is the right focal length and right price for my purposes....or maybe, according to your logic, I should forget about that and get the 45mm Panasonic, which is a focal length I do not want AND costs more to boot....

Remember, it's a SYSTEM, not a brand competition.  Buy the lenses that work for you from EITHER manufacturer.
