Lensmate filter adaptor fell off after 4 weeks

I  bought a lensmate adaptor kit for my Sony  Rx100. I applied filter adaptor according to their recommendations then  put a polarizer filter on . I used this filter to take landscape photography. The filter adaptor  stay on  lens very good but only for 4 weeks then it fell off. I tried to put it back but it won't stick to Sony lens. Adhesive  tape on filter adaptor is not good. Now the kit lies on my desk !
