I agree.

If you can live with camera produced jpegs then you are all set. However, if you take some time to learn how to process the raw files in SilkyPix, or what ever photo software you feel comfortable with, you will end up with a better jpeg. Please note I said "If" and "some time".  There is a learning curve and I believe that the end results are well worth the time invested.
