D3200 focus problems...both AF and Manual out of focus

Should I send it back? My fiance and I can't get a sharp picture with the 3200. We have a D200, and a pair of D3100's and 55-300 nikon lenses. We've tried swapping lenses,and taking turns under same conditions. We have tried different settings with focus areas, auto and manual modes, iso, etc....changed everything we can setting wise. All to no avail. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so what did you do to correct it?  Thanks
