Portraits with the 18-55mm!

First time I've seen models stand in for kids, usually it is girlfriend. 

Why without OIS? That's one of the best reason for the lens is it not?

BTW, cannot wait to get this lens. Hopefully some dealer is willing to break the kit and sell lens at $400.
