D800 Sensor remap for dead pixels quick tip

The word remap does not mean "to move". It means "to map again newly". Map here means "to make a plan of where bad pixels are and then remove them in the processing".

There's nothing scary about that and it is a good feature. All sensors have some dead pixels and all sensors over time degrade and accumulate more. Fortunately it seems to be a very slow process in DSLR sensors compared to CCD sensors.
