Any harm charging battery in camera?

All the cameras I've used over the years has had a battery charger, the nex6 is the first cameraI've used that didn't come with a charger. Just curious would there be any problem in the long run using the camera as the charger all the time? Maybe I'm just paranoid but sucks Sony didn't include a charger like they did with the nex7. Maybe to cut cost I guess.
