Since you'll probably upgrade the MBP to 10.8 I'd recommend consider upgrade the RAM to at least 8 GB. Many Macs also can take up to 16 GB or more. Also consider an SSD upgrade to get the most performance from the computer. Both are easy DIY jobs and affordable.
