A Tale of Two Zooms pt. II
To recap, I've been getting some good shots out of the previously somewhat poor reputation Minolta AF 75-300mm (1995) 'New' lens, since it's always overshadowed by the Big Beercan original version.
I've been wanting to do some comparisons and I am picking up my friend's 75-300mm 'II' today or tomorrow, but in the meantime found a Promaster (Tamron) 70-300 LD (non-Di). It looks initially like it has pretty similar characteristics to the 75-300 1995 'New' version, and am going out now to run a few unscientific tests today in the overcast daylight. Will post pics in a couple of hours, so check back!
