Why would AF be so slow on RX1?

Only you can be the judge on whether the CDAF class AF performance is good enough for you.  $2800 US is a lot of cash to invest into a technology product.

I do not shoot sport or fast moving objects, have been using P&S and M43 cameras in the last 12 years, so I'm fine with the extra 0.1s in shutter lag when compared to DSLRs.
