You're right, I misread your first post. Sorry.

I guess my next question would be why, if the FZ150 was better, would Panasonic change the sensor and processing? Makes no sense to me.

I think it has to do with Panasonic going to CMOS. CMOS has the advantage of faster sensor read-out for better video. Also, CMOS does better at higher ISO. But Low ISO is sacrificed a bit. DSLR owners had the same complaint when they first switched to CMOS many years ago.

The FZ150 also has a CMOS sensor.

Well it is Panasonic 's version called MOS and seems to make a difference. I just compared the FZ150 and FZ200 at ISO100 vs the GH2 at ISO400. In this comparison you would think the FZ150 and GH2 have the same sensor (just fewer MP on the FZ150). The FZ200 looks completely different and not in a good way.

I had been thinking of replacing my GH2 and 100-300mm with the FZ200.  Up to now I had been comparing output of the FZ150 and GH2 with 2 stop different and thought I would only loose a bit of resolution with the FZ200.  But now that I can compare the FZ200 sensor output I can see it is actually a step back from the FZ150 at low ISO.  And low ISO is required for the amount of cropping I do at the long end of the lens.
