New NEX 6

Got an NEX-6 a couple of days ago and have been using it a bit. This is my first experience with an EVF and with all the excitement over EVF's I was expecting not to be disappointed. Maybe I'm just an old guy but using a viewfinder that has the quality of a 1950's era television is, what?

As for the rest of the camera, kudos to Sony. The 6 appears to be a well made compact camera with an excellent sensor (no surprise there, as my D800 with a Sony sensor is pretty good as well.) And while the 16-50 is no aspheric wonder nevertheless it is quite usable. Not unhappy here.

On another note, Olympus will be releasing a multiple aspheric 17 1.8 (micro 4/3) that will certainly match in quality the Zeiss 24 1.8, for $500.00. I have to wonder what Sony will do. Interesting future.
