Time for DPR to remove the useless thumbs up

I really liked the thumbs up/thumbs down option, however, I understand that there may be reasons that DPR decided to change it.

But IMO it should have been all or nothing as evidenced by the completely useless system now in place. The thumbs up votes tell me exactly nothing about a thread or post and I would guess that most of us have gotten into the habit of ignoring them altogether.

My preference would be for DPR to either restore the original options or just go ahead and remove the thumbs up.

The great thing about the original system was that you could give me a thumbs down because you disagree, or because you think I'm beating a dead horse, or because you didn't like some other post I made a week ago .. and I'm perfectly ok with that. Now maybe a couple of you will give this a thumbs up and 100 of you only wish you could give it a thumbs down and no one will ever know .
