Interesting, I see two images with totally different noise, resolution and so on. They are anything but equivalent. They tell me that equivalence nazis are idiots.

1) I see two images with slight differences; more details in the FF one, more noise in the white background in the FF one, more noise at other parts, the red area for example, in the micro one, The images tell me there is something valid with the equivalenze theory. I suspect the raw converter handles the images differently so I'm not sure the comparison is 100% valid but the images surely aren't totally different.

2) I see posters talking about nazis. If somebody mentally capable of understanding how equivalenze works now is a nazi this forum is in a pretty bad shape. Are we now also having system nazis instead of fanboys? zkz5 and Ulric, please help keep up to date with the nomenclature!

1. I agree that the images are not totally different, in the sense that they would be if one were white with red stripes and the other black with yellow dots. It seems that you agree that they are at least somewhat different.

OK. Look at this.

Top left E-M5, bottom right E-PL3, both at 3200 ISO. These images are somewhat different, the E-M5 is a lot less noisy than the E-PL3. The exposure is the same. The lens f-number is the same. The F2=F2=F2 Khmer Rouge would have us believe that they should be identical. What idiots.

2. If you have read a post by me talking about nazis, please post a link to it because I seem to have forgot about it. An equivalence nazi is a different beast; someone who obsessively discusses the properties of one system in terms of another's.

You'll be laughing on the other side of your face when we've rounded up all of the F2=F2=F2 crowd and put them in death camps.
