P7700 Screen failure after 3 days

Hi ,

I got my P7700 on wednesday no problem and this morning between two shots when the shutter released the LCD screen is like this :



I've switched it off / on , Reset the menu , remove battery waited a few minutes . And by the way when it went bonkers the first time and I tried to shoot again it told me something was wrong with the card , when switched on/off no problem with the card just the screen ...

Help ? There was absolutely no mechanical forces involved . The camera was in my hands as I was shooting and never droped it in the three evenings I had it .
