Is the Canon 1100D worth getting???

Hi, have been looking at the Sony NEX range - F3 but miss not having a viewfinder.  Have seen the 1100D for around $400.....''

Does anyone have this camera ??  Only looking at an entry level.  Will use it in AUTO....:) am a novice for sure
