Lens suggestion - prime, or?

At very wide apertures you're typically interested only in a small part of the main subject being sharp.  This is a natural trade off, as the wide aperture gives you a narrow depth of field anyway.

So the lack of ultra sharp borders and corners on a prime like these is not as serious an issue as it might seem.
