Mechanical vs Electronic Shutter

Thanks for the explanations. I've just ordered a G5 to replace my aging G1 and am wondering about the effectiveness of the electronic shutter. I have a couple of Olympus lenses (9-18, 40-150) and wonder if lack of vibration from the electronic shutter or faster actuation of the mechanical is more likely to provide a sharper result for non-stabilized lenses.
