HX30V is a decent concert camera --- Rush
I brought the Sony HX30V to the Rush concert at San Jose last night. It did pretty well. I normally would love to be able to use a DSLR for something like this, but even if you could bring one in, a DSLR with the required lenses could be impractical in a general concert environment.
Our seats were far from the stage, so the optical zoom range was very handy. The camera did well with the tricky lighting, even in "P" mode. The compact size is nice, of course. And, as a bonus, the wifi would let you post those photos direct from the camera, although I didn't get a chance to do that.
