Travel without a DSLR but with a phone camera - possible or painful?

Not on vacation, but on a work travel (4 weeks in Braunschweig - Germany)

As I had to carry a heavy luggage of technical documents and drawings, no space left for even my lightest DSLR set.

I didn't even think it was possible to use my Samsung Galaxy Ace for taking pictures...

But strolling around on Sunday afternoons, it was a temptation.

Results are not important, IMHO...



(Note: I know my cellphone is not the best available one for photography).

But it is the feeling: no tecnhcality to worry about - just aim and capture.

Something that I think it's worth trying, sometimes.
