The Sigma 150mm is an excellent lens for portraits on FX, and it complements the 85mm really well. For macro it is a fine lens in either format, and I have used it for portraits with a D7000. I have the non-VR version, and I understand the new stabilized version is even better than mine. I don't believe it could possibly be enough to justify the extra cost because mine is something I consider a "lifetime" lens. I would not give it up.

I once tried the Nikon 105 VR on DX, and it is a nice portrait lens, but I like something longer for macro. The Nikon 200mm costs a fortune, and the Tamron can't AF as well as the Sigma (unless they have updated it recently). I cannot think of anything I would trade for. I really like this Sigma lens. It never disappoints.
