Battery for the G5

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new silver G5. I'll be wanting to buy a spare battery or two and, of course, it's different from all my other Panny and Leica batteries. I've had good luck with aftermarket batteries, especially Lenmars. Will the G5 accept non-Panasonic batteries and still show the battery strength indicator? Any recommendations?
