He knows what the DR warranty involves. Read the thread properly and you will see why there is an issue. Its a fake serial number, nothing to do with where it was brought from. DR pay the cost (or reimburse the cost) but they wont touch it, at all, because its got a fake serial number on it.

Turns out his camera has a serial number that does not match the serial number in the EXIF.
