New camera for 10-year old?

Thanks to all your thoughts, even the funny ones..... Puts my thinking back into perspective.

It seems most of you tend towards upmarket p&s camera's, but not the newest versions. Makes sense in not spending too much and seeing where it might go for her. But the current discounts on m43 systems seem almost too good to be true.

I guess I'll take her down to a decently stocked shop and see her response to some different models. If it doesn't fit right, she's not going to use it anyway, right?
