Nice to read people take the plunge into EF-M. It looks like a promising platform, certainly for people who like to take on a hobby for "cinematic home movies". Could well be that the 650D is the last DSLR I bought, for the same reasons you mention. For now I keep the SX220 as snapshot cam alongside the 650D. If the SX220 dies, the EOS-M would be a no- brainer, even with only a pankace and the 3x kit zoom; digital zoom brings you a long way before the quality drops below that of a small sensor compact. Plus the EOS-M is not frightning at all for my wife and kids to use and enjoy.
