5d3 and d600 owner, my thoughts on the two camera, with the dpr review out.

the D600, I used to think might be the most reasonably priced FF camera ever made, turned out to be a really slow almost useless camera with very very poor build quality.

the AF is really bad , it is the same crappy(one of the most unreliable AF systems in Nikon history) Af system in my D7k and the OVF is very dim with some annoying yellow tint.

so, I returned it and got a beautifully working llightly used Sony A99v.

you get what you pay for , it is nothing special , 1/4000 max shutter alone make it a poor FF choice for some.

the D800, the A99v  and even the Canon 5D3 are all much better well made body than this so-called entry level FX body.

if you get a D600 try to grip it hard , then you'd hear the annoying squeaky sound.
