Opinion: Best form of SR for telephoto shooting.

I would like to see figures from Pentax to confirm that theory.

It sounds right but if I was designing it I'd allow movement to support the maximum diversion I required then accept the waste for smaller focal lengths.

Given the camera is limited to 800mm is it not reasonable to assume the sensor has enough movement to support the rated stop correction over the range allowed .?

Personally I have not noted any drop in performance of SR from 16-1000mm Bigma and 2X (2+ stops), But maybe I'm just stable
