Sony though is a smart company. They know how to market products. The RX1 doesn't come with a viewfinder so they can sell you one for about $600 US. People buying a $2800 point and shoot are probably not going to hesitate plucking down another $600 for the viewfinder. The more expensive products get, the more expensive the extra's get. It is just like the grips for the 5D3 and D800. Very expensive add ons, there is no physical cost reason they should cost so much more than the outgoing grips.
