Hi Folks:
I just got back from an early morning sunrise shoot here in Ottawa, Canada and I had the camera out for at least 90 minutes in minus 6 degree Celsius, turning it on and off and zooming and doing all the normal functions and the camera worked perfectly in the cold.
I had a previous copy that had some cold weather problems, most particular the zoom kept turning off and sliding automatically to 25mm wide. I exchnaged it and this one works perfectly. I gues there were a few bugs in some of those early release models.
Cheers,
Rudy

My only suggestion would be to seal the camera in a ziplock bag before you bring it inside, and wait until it's warm before you open it. It's hard to remove condensation inside the camera if it occurs

Good reminder, Sherm. A gallon size zip lock ought to do the trick. Here are some more ideas on the condensation problem.
