Painful for MFD users too

I'm late to this but I was just looking at the new iMac and there is a major problem with it for photographers. If you use a Medium Format Digital back that uses firewire, the trend of Apple dropping firewire from the newest computers is very troubling. Yes Apple makes a thunderbolt to firewire adaptor, but it will not work for MFD backs, because the power supplied by firewire is greater than the wattage supplied through the thunderbolt port, and MFD backs are notorious for needed every watt that the firewire bus supplies. Some latest MFD backs are starting to have USB 3.0 and some have a low power mode, but most people do not upgrade their MFD backs as rapidly as people upgrade their 35mm type DSLRs and there are a large number of people still shooting with 17 and 22MP MF backs from 8 years ago.
