Help please regarding color correction!

I know this isn't related to this forum, but I do really need some help. At least I feel comfortable with the folks here rather than going to another forum. I have an E-P3, so does that qualify me

I have taken quite a lot of images, but have been reluctant to do any quality PP work because my monitor isn't calibrated. I have been strapped for coin as of late, so I have had to put it on the back burner until now. I have a $25 discount card from Staples, so I will be purchasing from them unless I can get one cheaper elsewhere despite the discount with Staples.

My question, if I may. I am looking at a model from Datacolor called the Spyder 4 Express mainly because Staples doesn't carry any other brand. All I want to do is color correct the monitor, nothing else. I don't do my own printing, but I want to provide color corrected PP files to a print house. I also don't need the feature of correcting more than one monitor which the more expensive versions do. Would the Express version work OK for me? Again, right now its about money. I can afford the Spyder Express with the $25 discount, but not the more expensive Spyder Pro, as example . . . yet. I want to get down to doing some PP work and I don't know how long it will be if I have to wait for a more expensive mode like the Spyder Pro. I'm hoping at this point that the Spyder Express will fill the bill, so to speak. I know there isn't a huge difference between the Express and Pro models, but I don't use credit cards anymore. Got into trouble with them in the past and have adopted the attitude that if I don't have the cash, then I will do without. No money, no honey I guess.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Wayne
