Special Nikon pro shops?

A friend with a small shop selling mostly film cameras and film have been contacted by Nikon, who want a shop selling ONLY Nikon digital cameras. They would train him, fix up the shop, do the PR, take responsibility and he will get 18% of the value of the sale.

Anyone heard of such shops? A new "trend"? Interesting if it will work. Strong competition nearby. But the 18% does not seem much.

Personally would not mind a "nice price" D600.....
